Love Scotch Lodge! We’ll be in Portland in May and it’s definitely on our return visit list.

Too many places for four days! Highlights we know we want to go to include Kann, Eem, Heavenly Creatures, Side Eye, Pacific Standard, and Too Soon for new-to-us, and Palomar, Canard, and Multnomah for returns. Do you have a non-negotiables list?

Excellent choices. Palomar moved locations and I’m sad! But I’m sure the food is still great as always.

My non-negotiable to add to your list is Bellwether Bar. Pair it with a trip to Mt. Tabor! It’s a Portland darling. Coquine is over there, too, and their market menu is great for casual a la cart dining. Navarre and Luce (which are near Too Soon) are also go-tos for me and for when guests come to town. A random recommendation that I think you’ll enjoy: get a cheese plate and wine at Providore market. It’s a specialty food store that has incredible cheese, charcuterie, and people watching. Great for HH or a late lunch in between stops.

When you’re at Kann, could be fun to stop at Scotch Lodge(!) for a drink or visit Kabinett, a vermouth and vintage drinkware shop in the Industrial area over there.
